SEMA is the place where automakers go these days and completely lose their minds, and it’s a wonderful. Take, for example, the new Kia Forte Koup Mud Bogger. It’s an off-roading car that could take you to spots that normally are only accessible to SUVs.

The car features big, aggressive 28-inch off-road tires that contrast sharply with the curvy Koup’s body. Wild fender flares were added as well, accommodating all of that rubber. The body and suspension have both been lifted four inches, helping greatly with ground clearance. Up front is a brush bar that’s powder coated white, matching the wheels, because naturally that’s the color of choice for off-roading accessories.

Essentially, the whole concept vehicle is a practice in irony, and everyone is hoping Kia loses its mind even more and makes such a vehicle available to purchase. The chances of that are about as good as the Baltimore Ravens winning the Super Bowl this season, but one can hope.

You can’t really tell from the photo, but the roof has a vinyl top the occupants can push back, helping them to soak up the sun while getting dirty. Instead of carpeting in the interior, there’s Line-X coating on the floor.

The rear seats have been deleted, and the stock front seats are replaced with Sparco Evo II Red Race Seats. In case things get too crazy while cavorting around mud pits, the vehicle also has a hand-built roll cage, which is powder coated white to match the wheels and brush bar.
