Watch a Wagon Destroy a Nissan GT-R

Godzilla is a truly fast car, at least in a straight line. The R35 might be criticized for a number of things, but it’s won quite a few drag races in its day against some formidable foes. But of all the things to beat it, most people probably wouldn’t expect a wagon.

I love wagons. They handle like cars, have the cargo capacity of an SUV, and for some reason nobody expects them to be fast. The Audi RS6 Wagon really isn’t your average family hauler, thanks to the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 pumping out 553 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque.

The R35 has received a number of updates, including a slick new gearbox for quicker shifts. It also got a nice power bump to 562 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, all from the turbo 3.8-liter V-6. It’s a technological wonder, but it’s not enough to hold off the Audi.

For good measure, Carfection ran the race three times, and the RS6 Wagon won each time.
