Fiat Strapped A Camera To An Actual Eagle For This Commercial
Most car commercials are pretty boring. Sure, automakers think it’s clever to show their vehicle in striking red, contrasting with beige competitors, but the average guy thinks that’s just plain boring. That’s what makes the latest commercial for the Fiat 124 Spider so entertaining.
If you were to just watch the video below without reading any more, you’d miss out on the coolest part of the whole thing. It looks like the part where you see the eagle’s point of view is done with some fancy CGI, but Fiat did one better and actually strapped a camera to the bird’s back.
To pull off the stunt, Fiat recruited Falconer Jacques Olivier Travers, from FREEDOM Conservation. He used three specially trained birds called Roi, Victor and Fletcher for the commercial. It’s all done incredibly well, getting across an effective message about the Fiat 124 Spider and truly impressing viewers.
