According to our friends at TopSpeed, Lamborghini has plans to build a limited-edition supercar as a way to celebrate the 100th birthday of the company’s founder, Ferrucio Lamborghini.

The vehicle will be called the Centenario LP 770-4 and we have a rendering from TopSpeed that shows how it likely will look. This isn’t based on pure speculation, because a select few were shown a hologram representation of the car as part of the 2015 Monterey Car Week. Still, to be quite honest little information is available about the supercar, other than it will be ultra-exclusive, incredibly fast and something that collectors will be vying for.

TopSpeed believes the vehicle will have a more toned down design, unlike the Veneno or Sesto Elemento, which could pass for alien space pods. Still, the vehicle should be pretty geometric and angular, like other modern Lambos, instead of hearkening back to the Miura or other cars with flowing lines. This is a safe bet since the Aventador will be the basis for the supercar, meaning the two vehicles will have a strong resemblance.

The less-crazy persona of the Centenario will hopefully carry into the cabin, where luxury and comfort supersede brash design statements. Alcantara and carbon fiber won’t be as plentiful, with more mainstream materials in abundance for a warmer and personal vibe.

One of the most important details is the powertrain. As the model name suggests, a 6.5-liter V-12 that pumps out 760 horsepower will provide plenty of motivation. It’s the same engine that was first used in the Aventador, so Lambo fans will know it well. Mated to the engine will be a single-clutch seven-speed transmission A Halidex all-wheel-drive system will send power to all four wheels. The anticipated 0 to 60 mph time is about 2.5 seconds, while the top speed estimates are around 220 mph.

If you’re interested in the Centenario, you need to get in line and crack open a large pocketbook. The rumor is that only 20 will be made, with a selling price in excess of $1 million. Also, look for a full reveal in Geneva this upcoming March.
