If you’ve had the pleasure of being in the presence of the Ford Shelby GT350, especially one that’s running, you know it sounds truly unique. Even if you haven’t, YouTube videos give you enough of an idea of the raspy exhaust note.
One guy apparently wasn’t satisfied to have just a regular GT350, because tinkering with cars is a hell of a lot of fun. He performed surgery on the car’s exhaust system, slapping on some Kooks Longtubes and an O/R X-pipe for good measure.
You can watch the video below, which is of a Go Pro attached to the back bumper, giving us an up-close encounter with the exhaust. He revs the engine, then finally starts going and lets us behold that deafening wail at wide-open throttle.
Crank the volume, but if you’re at work you might want to put on the headphones before starting the video.
