Back in February 2015 Hennessey came oh so close to being the first tuning company to build a 2015 Mustang that crests 200 mph with its HPE700 Mustang. Unfortunately, the HPE700 Mustang topped out at 195 mph, but the folks at Hennessey knew they could do better, and went to work on the latest Mustang tuning kit, the HPE750.

The HPE750 kit takes the Mustang GT and pushes its output to 774 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 648 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. It achieves these numbers thanks to a 2.9-liter supercharger, upgraded fuel injectors, a high-flow fuel pump, and HPE engine management calibration.

This all combines for a 0-to-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds and a quarter-mile run of 10.9 seconds at 133 mph. While those numbers are outstanding, the number of the day today is 207.9. That is how fast Hennessey’s test driver was able to get the HPE750 Mustang up to at the Continental Tire proving grounds.

What makes all of this even better is that the HPE750 Mustang can be yours for only $69,374, and that includes the price of the Mustang GT donor car. The unfortunate news is that Hennessey only plans to build 500 of these super-Stangs, so you’d better get in line now before they’re sold out.

There to witness and film the event was car enthusiast and comedian Jay Leno and his entire Jay Leno’s Garage crew. There is no mention of when the resulting episode of Jay Leno’s Garage will air, but you can see the top-speed run in the below video.
