2020 Mercedes GLC 43 Turns the Power and Style Up a Notch
The Mercedes Benz GLC-Class and its lower-range performance variant, the GLC 43, arrived in 2016. Because it’s still a younger model, it has no need for a full redesign, but a refresh in 2020 will help it keep up with the pack. While we learned about the refreshed GLC-Class earlier, the GLC 43’s updates just broke cover.
Visually, the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 will look similar to the current model, but there are enough new bits to set it apart. These updates begin with its new AMG-style grille with vertical chrome bars and updated headlights with distinct signature lighting. It will also gain black fins over its air intakes, a shapelier lower bumper, and a new lower spoiler. Around back, the 2020 GLC 43 will gain new taillight graphics, new quad-exit round exhaust tips, and a brand-new diffuser.
Looks aren’t all that’ll change in the 2020 GLC 43, as it also will get a healthy power boost. It will retain a standard turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6, but its power will jump by 23 ponies to 385 horsepower. Torque will remain at 384 pound-feet, and its transmission will remain an AMG-tuned nine-speed automatic. This adds up to a 4/7-second 0-to-60 time, which is the same as the current model.
There is no information on when the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 will arrive in showrooms, so keep it locked here for updates.
