The 5.6-Liter-Equipped Titan XD Starts from $35,290

Just a few months back, Nissan finally revealed the base engine for the Titan XD. This engine displaces the same 5.6 liters as the Titan’s previous V-8 engine, but this powerplant delivers far more power and torque and is more responsive than the previous unit. Today, Nissan unveiled the pricing details for the 2016 Titan XD with this new engine.

This new V-8 powerplant turns the wick way up when compared to the previous unit that it shares its displacement with. The old engine produced just 317 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque, and the new powerplant cranks out a more competitive 390 ponies and 401 pound-feet of twist.

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD Crew Cab with the 5.6-liter V-8 starts with the S trim that bases from $35,290—making it $5,000 less than the base model with the diesel engine. Full pricing details for the 2016 Titan XD with the 5.6-liter engine are as follows:

Nissan expects the 5.6-liter-equipped Titan XD will join the diesel-powered version in the spring of 2016.
