More Teasers and Details Surrounding the Challenger Demon Arrive

If you’re not excited by the resurrection of the Demon nameplate on the Dodge Challenger, then you may want to check your pulse. This beast, which is set to break cover at the 2017 New York International Auto Show in April is primed to push Dodge to new heights.

Recently, Dodge released the third teaser video, a teaser image and a few more details surrounding this new muscle car. The video, while filled with smoldering rubber, shows us nothing but gratuitous tire shredding. But the presser that accompanied it gave us a few juicy details.

In the press release, Dodge cleared up a few minor details. The new Challenger SRT Demon will boast 18-by-11-inch wheels made from lightweight materials. Doing the smoking in the video below are Demon-branded 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R tires. You’re reading that right… the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be the first-ever production car to come from the factory with drag radials. Nitto has specially designed these tires for the Demon.

To help keep those 11-inch wheels undercover, Dodge is adding 3.5-inch wheel flares, giving the Demon a, well, demonic look.
