9. Land Rover LR4
Still called the Discovery outside of the United States, the LR4 offers an excellent form of transportation for families that bond by climbing a mountain or camping in the middle of nowhere. If you just want the prestige and style that comes with owning a Land Rover, you will likely be disappointed that the SUV doesn’t accelerate quickly and handles marginally well on pavement. The interior does have a fit and finish that is excellent, while the third-row seats are comfortable and spacious and the cargo area is quite large. The other good piece of news is that there is a huge aftermarket industry built up around the LR4, meaning you have your choice of brush guards, roof cages, light guards, roof lights, snorkels, etc. to help you fully engage in your adventurous lifestyle with your spouse and brood of children.
