If you absolutely hate minivans or need an SUV to deal with heavy regular snowfall in your area, consider the Acadia. It comes with a tough, chiseled exterior that makes the vehicle look right at home with its heavy-duty truck siblings. The interior, however, is rather modern and comfortable. The seats are all well-padded and legroom on the third row is surprisingly good. Even the cargo space is much larger than it appears, which is a pleasant surprise. Unlike heavy-duty trucks, the Acadia provides a more car-like driving experience that makes dealing with heavy traffic and tight urban spots more bearable. If you don’t like the hardcore look of the Acadia, consider the Buick Enclave or Chevrolet Traverse, which are built on the same platform and offer the same set of advantages.
