New GMC Sierra HD Takes the Stage

GMC just revealed the 2020 Sierra HD, and to everyone’s relief it looks way better than the ugly duckling 2020 Chevy Silverado HD. While the front grille is still huge, this is definitely a case of who wore it best, and the answer is GMC. There are plenty of other bigger things with the new Sierra HD: taller hood line, taller overall height, and a longer wheelbase. The ProGrade Trailering Technology package now includes a transparent trailer view option. Thanks to a camera on the tailgate and an available camera for the back of the trailer, you can virtually see through the trailer for better maneuvers in tight spots.

Those larger exterior dimensions translate into a larger cabin. GMC says front headroom and legroom in Crew Cab models beat competitors. You also ride higher, thanks to a boosted seating position. If you pop for the Denali model, it comes encrusted with all the luxurious trappings apparently truck owners can’t live without.
