Cadillac Puts a Price on the XT6
We finally have some pricing info for the XT6, Cadillac’s big new crossover. It will be competing against the likes of the Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, and Lincoln Aviator. When compared to other options, it’s actually pretty much on par.
The Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury has a base MSRP of $53,690. Of course, that’s without the optional all-wheel drive, which will add a mysterious amount to the price.
We also know the Sport trim for the XT6, which only comes with all-wheel drive, is being priced at $58,090. That probably means all-wheel drive for the Premium Luxury is probably about $2,000, but we should know soon enough. Cadillac says orders for the XT6 open later in March.
Sadly, the XT6 seems like a boring family-oriented crossover. Of course, people who shop for such things tend to gravitate toward boring, so that doesn’t mean sales will suffer. But you’d think the brand that brought us the garish and bold Escalade would come up with a littler more excitement.
There’s nothing over-the-top about the luxury features for the XT6, either. Among the offerings is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather, heated all sorts of things, and pretty much what you can get in any semi-luxury vehicle these days.
