Cadillac is continuing to grow with each passing year under the watchful eye of Johan de Nysschen, and its next area of growth is in the direction of a new flagship sedan. We already know that the CT6 is said sedan, but the details behind it and its release date were still a little murky. Today, the waters surrounding the CT6 sedan clear, and we learn even more about this impressive sedan.

The CT6 will be available with three powertrain options. The base model will come with a 265-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. The midrange engine will be the 335-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6, while the range-topping powerplant will be the new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 that cranks out 400 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque. Respectively, these models will start from $53,495, $55,495 and $64,395, and all three will come with eight-speed auto transmissions as standard. The two V-6 engines will come standard with all-wheel drive.

There will also be a plug-in hybrid version of the CT6 available, but Caddy is keeping the specs of this model on the down low. It did, however, reveal that it will announce more details surrounding this model as we get closer to the CT6’s launch.

At the top of the CT6 range will be the Platinum trim level. Cadillac did not reveal too much about this top-of-the-line trim level, but it did reveal that it’ll base from $83,465.

On top of having plenty of powerplants to choose from, the CT6 will also have loads of tech and premium features. On the tech side of things will be a Rear Camera Mirror and Enhanced Night Vision, while the features side of the coin includes a crazy 34-speaker Bose Panaray audio system.

Buyers looking to get an early jump on the CT6 can place their orders now, and deliveries will commence in March 2016. Stay tuned for more info, particularly on the plug-in hybrid model.
