9. 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost – Best sports car for the money
You may be asking how the Mustang can be both the best muscle car and the best sports car. The simple answer is that it’s my list and I will do as I please. The longer answer is that its new 310-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and independent rear suspension put it right in line with the usual suspects in the sports car segment. Add to that its low base price of $24,275, sub-six-second 0-to-60 sprint and 31 mpg highway rating, and we have a winner.
