The Mercedes AMG C43 Gains New AMG Performance Studio Package
Mercedes has revealed tons of new special models over the past week or so, and we are still playing catchup on them all. Included in these new models was the all-new Mercedes-AMG C43 Performance Studio Package.
This special package will be available for both the coupe and convertible versions of the C43. It will include a host of black details, including the pins on the diamond grille, the front splitter trim, the rear bumper insert, the side skirt trim, the rear spoiler, and the tailpipe trim. It will also 19-inch multi-spoke, light-alloy wheels painted matte black with high-sheen flanges.
Inside, the Performance Studio package also adds a flat-bottomed steering wheel with a Nappa leather and Dinamica rim.
Despite the “performance” in its name, there are no performance boosts included. Both models make use of the same 3.0-liter AMG-touched V-6 engine that produces 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. The power heads through an AMG-worked nine-speed automatic transmission and out to all four wheels via an AMG Performance 4MTIC all-wheel-drive system. Sixty mph comes in just 4.6 seconds in the coupe and 4.7 second in the convertible.
There is no mention of pricing for this new package, but we should learn more as we approach its summer 2017 release. There may also be additional details after its 2017 Geneva Auto Show debut.
