Infiniti Ups the Power in the 2017 QX60

Once known as the JX, the QX60 crossover, which debuted in 2014, is one of Infiniti’s best sellers. Recently, Infiniti revealed the 2017 version of its crossover, and it unexpectedly received some important updates.

In terms looks, the QX60 is a carryover from 2016. Fortunately, the 2016 QX60 underwent a few visual updates, including new headlights and taillights. Infiniti also added more sound insulation to keep things peaceful inside the cabin.

The big update for the 2017 QX60 is under its hood. The QX60’s reworked 3.5-liter V-6 will produce 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque in the new model year – increases of 30 horsepower and 22 pound-feet of torque. This engine will continue to mate with a CVT gearbox that delivers the power to the front wheels or all four wheels.

Inside, buyers will enjoy the new Infiniti InTouch infotainment system, which integrates navigation, convenience, security and entertainment into on system. This system will be available in the Premium Plus trim level.

Infiniti will also update its Theater Package for the new model year. This package includes dual 8-inch monitors, which are 1 inch larger than the 2016 model’s, a 12-volt power source, a USB port, and an HDMI port for rear-seat passengers. WiFi is also available on a subscription basis – it comes with a 3-month trial.

Pricing will start at $43,100 for the front-wheel-drive model while the all-wheel-drive will bump the price to $44,900.
