Honda Celebrates 25 Years of Odyssey With a Special Package
The Honda Odyssey is turning 25 years old in 2020, and Honda sees this as a cause for a celebration with a new 25th Anniversary Package. The 2020 Odyssey will get a few other tweaks to its powertrain and color options, but it remains mostly the same.
The 25th Anniversary Package makes a handful of exterior updates that will dress the 2020 Odyssey up a bit. These will include chrome roof rails, rear bumper protector and body-side moldings; illuminated 25th Anniversary door-sill plates; 25th Anniversary fender and tailgate logos; and a 25th Anniversary keyfob. Buyers who want something even dressier can opt for a set of 19-inch wheels.
This package will add $1,500 to the Odyssey’s MSRP without the optional wheels or $2,800 with the optional wheels.
Honda also will eliminate the standard nine-speed automatic transmission in the 2020 Odyssey, making the 10-speed unit standard across the lineup. The only other powertrain upgrade will be standard idle stop to help conserve fuel when 2020 Odyssey is at a stop.
Rounding out the tweaks for the 2020 Odyssey will be the new Platinum White Pearl color option taking the place of White Diamond Pearl.
The 2020 Honda Odyssey’s on-sale date is not available yet, but pricing is as follows:
- 2020 Odyssey LX: $30.690
- 2020 Odyssey EX: $34,690
- 2020 Odyssey EX-L: $37,960
- 2020 Odyssey EX-L W/ Navi and Rear-Seat Entertainment: $40,060
