Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus Debut
Chevrolet is on a roll with special editions for its big boys, the Tahoe and Suburban. Last year we got the RST, dropping a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V-8 in the full-size SUVs. Shoppers reacted favorably, with over a third of all Tahoe and Suburban sales including this upgrade. As a result, Chevy just revealed a new special edition it calls the Premier Plus.
Just like the RST, the Premier Plus version of the Tahoe and Suburban will use the same 6.2-liter V-8. It gets even better, thanks to Magnetic Ride Control coming standard, which adds performance and a comfy ride. The suspension should help keep the big SUVs in check, especially with all that power.
Plenty of luxuries will be crammed into the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus. Among them are heated/ventilated front seats, a Black and Mahogany two-tone interior, head-up display, chrome power steps, and arguably ridiculous 22-inch wheels.
Of course, you’re going to pay dearly for all these nice features, and Chevrolet will reap the profits. The 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier Plus has a starting MSRP of $74,100, plus a $1,295 destination charge. If you want to go even larger, MSRP for the 2019 Chevrolet Suburban Premier Plus begins at $76,900, plus $1,295 destination charge. At least if you’re a Costco Gold Star or Business card holder you can enjoy a $4,500 discount, plus get a $300 or $700 Costco Cash Card.
