5. Porsche Boxster S
It used to be that the Boxster was like the little kid brother of the 911 that was really a twerp that thought it could be just as good, but everyone knew that was completely ridiculous. The scary thing is, like all little brothers do, the Boxster has grown up and come into its own in a huge way. The latest iteration of the car not only looks incredible and has an interior that is light years beyond the first, it also has some serious performance bravado. The 3.4-liter flat 6-cylinder produces a healthy 315 horsepower, while handling is incredible thanks to the car’s excellent balance. Sure, the stereo in the S model is kind of lame (and the base model’s stereo is even worse) but you’ll be too busy feeling the wind in your hair to care. The only thing that could be better would be a convertible Cayman, which doesn’t look to be a possibility anytime soon.
