Lately, Subaru has taken to releasing limited-edition models that are not only exclusive, but also add in some pretty nice features. Today, the Japanese automaker has released two new special-edition models based on the BRZ and the WRX STI. Subaru has dubbed these new limited-run performance cars the Series.Hyperblue models.

Other than their shared Hyper Blue exterior hue, each of the Series.Hyperblue models will have their own exclusive features. The WRX STI Series.Hyperblue will gain blue contrast stitching on its Alcantara seats, steering wheel, shifter boot, console and floor mats, 18-inch BBS black alloy wheels, black badges, black-painted exterior mirrors, the Starlink 7-inch multimedia and navigation system with nine speakers and a 440-watt amplifier, keyless access, push-button start, and PIN code access.

The BRZ has its own list of exclusive bits that come with the Series.Hyperblue name. Inside the cabin, these additions include Hyper Blue bolsters on the leather and Alcantara seats, contrast stitching on the blue and black steering wheel, seats, shift boot and parking brake handle, Hyper Blue knee pads, and door trim, embroidered silver BRZ logos on the headrests, and floor mats with the BRZ logo and blue stitching.

On the outside, the BRZ Series.Hyperblue gains 17-inch black alloy wheels, black-painted badges, and black-painted mirror caps.

Neither model will receive any performance updates, so the WRX STI will retain its 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer engine that produces 305 horsepower, while the BRZ will carry its standard 2.0-liter boxer engine with 200 ponies.

The Series.Hyperblue models will make it to showrooms later this year, and Subaru will announce pricing in the fall. If you are interested in either model, you’d better get in line, as Subaru will only produce 700 of the WRX STI models and 500 units of the BRZ.
