New Style and Safety for the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport

In 2017, Nissan took a shrinking ray to the Nissan Rogue, and the result was the downsized Rogue Sport. Since its debut, not much has changed other than simple feature shuffling. This lack of change ends soon, as a refreshed 2020 Nissan Rogue will hit showrooms. Here’s what to expect.

Up front, the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport will separate itself from its larger sibling with all-new headlights that include new LED signature lighting, a new hood, an updated V-Motion grille, and a refreshed bumper. Around back, new taillight graphics help them better match the updated headlights. There are also two new colors, Nitro Lime Metallic and Monarch Orange Metallic and a new 19-inch wheel option.

In 2019, Nissan introduced Nissan Safety Shield 360 as an option on the Rogue Sport SV and SL. This package — which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam headlights — will be standard on all 2020 Rogue Sport models.

Under its hood, the 2020 Rogue Sport will keep the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that will crank out 141 horsepower. This power will continue to route through a standard continuously variable transmission and out to the front wheels. Optional all-wheel drive will be available.

The 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport will hit showrooms in the fall of 2019.
