Recently, Chevy has shown that it is quite the fan of special-edition vehicles and it is expanding its offering by three this year.

The first model to get the special-edition treatment is the 2017 Equinox. This model will get two special nameplates—Midnight Edition and Sport Edition—and Chevy will base each on the crossover’s LT trim level with the optional Convenience Package installed. Both models will gain black grilles and Chevy bowties, black 18-inch aluminum wheels, Jet Black perforated leather seating, memory settings for the driver’s seat and mirrors, and black-painted mirror caps and roof racks. The only distinguishing traits between these two models is that the Sport Edition will only come painted Summit White while the Midnight Edition will come painted Mosaic Black Metallic.

The second model to get in on the special-edition fun is the Traverse, which will gain a new Graphite Edition. This special model will come based on the 2LT trim level and will include 20-inch Dark Charcoal wheels, dual exhaust, black Chevy bowties, and an integrated assist step. In terms of color options, buyers can get the 2017 Traverse Graphite Edition in one of four colors: Mosaic Black Metallic, Tungsten Metallic, Siren Red Tintcoat and Iridescent Pearl Tricoat.

The Sport and Midnight Editions are an extra $2,895 ($1,695 for the special-edition packages and $1,200 for the required Convenience Package) on top of the base $27,645 of the Equinox LT while the Graphite Edition adds $2,345 to the Traverse 2LT’s $37,545 base price. Both of these special-edition models are available at Chevy dealers today. There is no mention of whether Chevy will limit quantities, or not.
