Buick LaCrosse Gets the Avenir Touch
When Buick unveiled the Avenir concept a few years back, we all wondered what would become of it. Unfortunately, it didn’t spawn a production car, but it did result in the creation of a more luxurious Buick sub-brand carrying the same name. Today, Buick shows off the second model to make its way to the Avenir sub-brand: the LaCrosse.
Like the Enclave Avenir, the LaCrosse Avenir takes Buick’s upscale look and feel and kicks it up a few notches. On the LaCrosse, this starts with three-dimensional upper and lower grille panels with chrome wings, Avenir script badging on the front doors, and model-exclusive 19-inch Pearl Nickel or 20-inch Midnight Silver wheels.
Inside, the LaCrosse Avenir boasts a chestnut interior theme, embroidered first-row headrests, and Avenir-scripted doorsill plates.
Other standard features on the LaCrosse Avenir include a 310-horsepower V-6 engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission, navigation, a Bose Centerpoint surround-sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.
Buyers who aren’t satisfied with the LaCrosse Avenir’s features can tweak it with a list of options that includes an ebony interior, Intelligent Twin-Clutch All-Wheel Drive, or the Dynamic Drive Package, which adds variable real-time damping control and a slew of safety features.
Pricing is not yet available for the 2018 LaCrosse Avenir, but it will hit showrooms in early 2018.
