Official EPA fuel economy estimates: 37/44/40. The Mirage is back in a completely new form. Mitsubishi designed the little hatchback to be fuel efficient, and it scored big with the highest combined fuel economy rating from the EPA out of all non-hybrid vehicles. The 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine is amazingly spritely, producing 74 horsepower and 74 lb.-ft. of torque. In fact, the Mirage is a blast to drive through winding city streets, thanks to punch low-end torque. Practicality is also high with a cargo capacity of 17.2 cubic feet and standard equipment like power accessories, cruise control, and an iPod/USB connection for the sound system.
