10 of the Most Tough SUV’s for 2014
5. Dodge Durango
The Durango is actually a great rugged SUV, despite its modern physique that might fool some people. Despite being rugged and capable, it’s also easy to navigate through tight spots. For taller people, the third row is actually large enough to accommodate adults who are over five feet, making it that much more practical for transporting bodies. The Durango shares its V6 and V8 engines with its sibling, the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Buyers can add a front skid plate if they plan to venture off the road much. However, the exclusion of four-wheel drive in favor of all-wheel drive makes it not quite as robust for really messy terrain. Lest you call the Durango a sissy, keep in mind that it can still tow up to 7,400 pounds. Just remember that Ron Burgundy will personally vouch for the versatility and overall performance of the Durango, because it’s just that good.
