Mitsubishi Teases its New e-Evolution Concept

Recently, Mitsubishi shocked us all with the re-release of the Eclipse nameplate as the Eclipse Cross crossover. While this crossover will share little more than the name with the iconic sports car of yesteryear, a new Mitsu concept points toward the potential for a more performance-oriented crossover.

Meet the Mitsubishi e-Evolution Concept.

Like the new Eclipse Cross, this concept revives a name that inspires performance: Evolution. So one can only hope this concept will live up to its nameplate.

There’s not much detail on the e-Evolution Concept, but in its press release, Mitsubishi says it will feature four-wheel drive and an electric powertrain. It also calls this model a “high performance automobile” instilling hope that it will live up to the Evolution name.

In the teaser image Mitsu shared, it’s clear this is one aggressive-looking crossover. It features a low-slung, coupe-like roofline, bold fins on the sides, sharp taillights, and aggressive lines.

Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to find out what this concept crossover is all about, as it will debut at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show on Oct. 25, 2017.
