The Ram 1500 Sport Gains Yet Another Special Edition Trim
Ram continues to expand its 1500 lineup with new special models. At the Chicago Auto Show, the truck maker revealed the all-new, limited-run 1500 Copper Sport. This model joins the Ignition Orange Sport trim to give the more-aggressive version of the 1500 two special models to itself.
Its name really says it all, as the color copper plays a big part. On the outside, the body boasts a new Cooper Pearl hue. This new color combines with the body-color grille, Sport hood with black decals, black Ram’s head emblem, tailgate badge, and body-side badges to set this limited model apart from the crowd.
Rounding out the exterior bits are 22-inch polished-aluminum wheels on two-wheel-drive models. On four-wheel-drive models, the Copper Sport has 20-inch wheels.
The cabin also get some exclusive updates. The changes start with copper-colored accent stitching, copper-colored “Sport” embroidery and sport mesh on the seats, copper-colored Ram’s heads on the headrests, and copper-colored trim rings. Also included are all-black A-pillars and headliner, and an Alpine premium audio system with nine speakers and a subwoofer.
The Copper Sport trim will only be available on 3,000 Crew Cab V-8 versions of the 2017 Ram 1500. Pricing will start from $45,630. It should start rolling into showrooms later in February.
