Ram Revels Two New 1500 Buzz Models
Keeping up with the Joneses is the name of the game in the automotive world, and it is starting to get pretty popular in the pickup truck segment. With GM continuing to release numerous special edition versions of its Sierra and Silverado pickups, now Ram is following suit with its own special models. The latest pair are known as the Buzz models, and they are available in two colors: Ignition Orange and black.
Both Buzz models are based upon the Ram 1500 Crew Cab Sport, but they each feature their own special add-on equipment to make them stand out. The Ignition Orange model comes coated in a super-bright orange paint, and it features body-color accent stitching, “Sport” embroidery on the seatbacks, an accent-color Ram emblem on the headrests, and accent-colored mesh inserts on the seat inserts.
The Black model gains a set of black-painted wheels, light black chrome accents, and black leather.
Both Buzz pickups share a handful of features too. They both come with 20-inch wheels, a 395-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI engine, an eight-speed auto transmission, a 3.92-to-1 gear ratio, rear-wheel drive, dual exhaust, a vented sport hood, the 8.4 Uconnect system, navigation, and a rearview camera. Both trucks are also available with optional all-wheel drive.
These trucks will start rolling out of the factory in April 2015, and they will be limited to 1,000 units each. The packages will add just $1,595 to the base MSRP of the Ram 1500 Crew Cab Sport. This means that they will start from $42,615 with rear-wheel drive and $45,835 with four-wheel drive.
