Ram Prepares for the Crummy Weather Ahead with North Edition
The cold, snowy weather is already here for the northernmost parts of the U.S., and Ram is ready for the change in seasons with the release of the new 1500 North edition.
Ram based all 1500 North models on its Big Horn Crew Cab with four-wheel drive, but buyers can opt for a long or short bed and a 3.6-liter mild-hybrid V-6 or Hemi V-8 engine. While that’s all typical equipment on the Ram 1500 Big Horn, what sets it apart are the features added to make up the North model.
The updates on the outside include severe-snow-service Falken LT tires, a 4×4 transfer case with 4×4 Auto, 4×4 High and 4×4 Low settings, a 1-inch lift, an electronic-locking rear axle, tow hooks, an engine block heater, body-color bumpers, grille, mirrors, door handles and rear fender “4×4” decal, and heated mirrors. Inside, this special model gains a Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen with SiriusXM Travel Link Weather, Mopar all-weather floor mats, and a 12-way power driver seat with 4-way power lumbar. Other updates include remote ignition and front and rear parking sensors.
The 2019 Ram 1500 North is available now and starts from $45,890, which is a $3,595 premium over the base Big Horn model with four-wheel drive and a crew cab.
