Lotus Pays Homage to the Esprit S1 With a One-Off Evora Sport 410
Ask virtually any true Lotus fan what their favorite model is, and I am willing to bet the vast majority say the Esprit. Recently, the British sports car manufacturer revealed a special model that pays homage to the Esprit S1, specifically the one featured in James Bond’s The Spy Who Loved Me flick.
The special Evora Sport 410 is just in time for the 40th anniversary of this spy-prepped Esprit. It boasts a special badge on its B-pillar in a style that mimics the graphics from the Esprit, a special color-coded bumper, a black line at the waist, and a carbon-fiber tailgate partially painted white.
Inside, this model continues to hark back to the Esprit with Tartan inserts on the carbon-fiber seats and door panels. The interior also features red contrast stitching and an Alcantara-wrapped dashboard and console.
Other than these mild, but noticeable, tweaks, the Evora Sport 410 is completely unchanged. This includes its Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V-6 engine that cranks out an incredible 410 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to this power and its 2,822-pound curb weight, this sports car can hit 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
Now for the bad news… This is a one-off vehicle that Lotus has no plans to sell. That said, with how simple it is, if you’re lucky enough to buy an Evora Sport 410, this should be fairly simple to replicate.
