Since the F-Type debuted for the 2014 model year, enthusiasts wondered just how far Jaguar would take it. Just months ago, we learned its fate via a leaked brochure that highlighted a range-topping SVR trim. Today, ahead of its official debut in Geneva, the British automaker has revealed the 2017 F-Type SVR and its pricing.

The new F-Type SVR will arrive with a look all its own, thanks to a special aero kit. This new kit includes an outward-extended front bumper, a modified front valance to reduce drag and pull in more cooling air, a new louvered hood design to pull hot air from the engine compartment, wheel-well-liner apertures to reduce high-pressure buildup, an underbelly tray, new rear venturi, and a deployable rear spoiler. Optionally, buyers can add in a carbon-fiber roof panel and a carbon-fiber pack with a chin spoiler, hood louvers, side vents, rear venturi blades, mirror caps and roll hoops (convertible only) all crafted from the lightweight material.

Jaguar also tweaked the cabin of the SVR model, quickly reminding owners and lucky passengers just how awesome this rig is. In here, you’ll find SVR performance seats with 14-way adjustments and finished in Jet leather with a Lozenge Quilt pattern, contrast stitching, micro piping, SVR logos on the seat headrests, a 770-watt Meridian audio system, oversized, anodized-aluminum shift paddles, and more.

Powering the SVR is a retuned version of the F-Type’s existing 5.0-liter supercharged V-8. This engine spits out 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, which are increases of 25 horses and 14 pound-feet. This engine exhales through a lightweight Inconel-titanium exhaust system that not only emits a nasty tone but also weighs 35 pounds less than the standard exhaust.

The boosted V-8 pairs with an eight-speed auto transmission and an on-demand all-wheel drive system to deliver outrageous acceleration. Specifically, the F-Type SVR does the 0-to-60 sprint in just 3.5 seconds—0.4 seconds quicker than the F-Type Coupe R. From 60 mph, the Coupe saunters on to 200 mph while the drop-top tugs at your roots to the tune of 195 mph.

The final piece to the puzzle that makes up the F-Type SVR is its chassis. First and foremost, the SVR weighs a healthy 55 pounds less than its R sibling while opting for all the carbon-fiber bits and the carbon-ceramic brakes drops the weight by an additional 55 pounds. In addition to the weight loss, the SVR gains new rear knuckles with 37 percent more camber stiffness and 41 percent more toe stiffness, a thicker rear anti-roll bar, revised damper-control software, a reworked torque-vectoring system, a more powerful braking system, and massive 265- and 305-series tires on the front and rear, respectively.
