Hyundai Reveals 2019 Veloster N Pricing and Performance Package

Since its debut, the Hyundai Veloster has been primed to become a legit hot hatchback, but it’s always fallen short. Starting in 2019, though, the Veloster gains a new N model that makes it a true hot hatch. And in true hot-hatch form, it has an affordable base price.

The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N will debut in two forms: base and N Performance Package. The standard 2019 Hyundai Veloster N will get an aggressive starting price of $26,900 and will come standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pounds out 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Much like its power, that starting price falls right between the $25,170 Ford Focus ST and the $35,700 Honda Civic Type R.

Buyers looking for a little more from their Veloster N can opt for the Performance Package, which adds a limited-slip differential with electronic control, a variable-valve exhaust system, 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/35R19 Pirelli P Zero summer rubber, and larger front and rear rotors. The 2019 Hyundai Veloster N Performance Package will carry a $2,100 premium, putting it at $29,000.
