Hyundai N Line Sales Are Exploding
People had their doubts about Hyundai launching the N line of performance vehicles, but it appears it was much ado about nothing. Instead of shoppers shying away from the Hyundai i30 N in Europe, it’s been a hot seller there.
In case you haven’t noticed, cars are getting increasingly expensive, but many shoppers aren’t making more. Faced with this reality, more people have turned to Hyundai and sister brand Kia. If you want some fun behind the wheel but don’t want to pay a hefty price for it, the N line is certainly a tempting option.
As Automotive News points out, Hyundai is able to keep the cost of the i30 N low by avoiding flashy, name-brand performance components. For example, the car doesn’t come with Brembo brakes, but instead it packs no-name Korean performance brakes.
With the Veloster N about to launch in North America, predictions are for strong sales. The i30 N hit its 2018 sales target by the close of June, meaning it’s blowing away expectations. The list of people waiting to buy the hot subcompact is so long, orders placed now won’t be filled until sometime in 2019.
This kind of success hopefully means more Hyundai N vehicles. That’s more cheap performance options, if that’s your thing.
