Genesis G70 Pricing Undercuts the Competition

If you want a premium sports sedan, you could drop some serious cash on a BMW 3 Series or a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, or you could save a boatload of money on the all-new Genesis G70. The Korean automaker just released pricing info for the newest member of the model lineup, and it’s a real deal with starting MSRP of $34,900. Sure, you can get a 3 Series for the same price, but not with all the equipment included on the base Genesis G70.

I know, the loyal Bimmer fans won’t see it as a deal. After all, it won’t proudly have all the mechanical and electrical gremlins that make for an ultimate car or whatever.

That base MSRP is for the 2.0T Advanced RWD, which packs a 252-horsepower turbocharged four. If you want all-wheel drive, it’ll cost $36,900. The 2.0T Sport M/T RWD starts at $37,900. Upgrading to the more powerful engine means a price jump, with the 3.3T Advanced RWD beginning at $43,750, or $45,750 for the all-wheel-drive version.

For those who really want to go all-out, Genesis is offering a range of Launch Editions for the G70. They run the range from $48,750 all the way to $52,250.

It’ll be interesting to see how shoppers respond to these prices. Genesis has struggled to up the quality of its showrooms and dealer service, but with cars just getting more and more expensive, some people might find the price break to be extremely tempting.
