The slow release of the NSX has been pretty much a clusterfudge, as there have been so many concepts and reveals that it has been hard to differentiate between information about the concept and the production model. With the latest press release, however, Acura cleared up a lot of the information and released only what will make it to production. What it left out, however, were details surrounding its sales process and pricing.  Today, the latter comes into focus.

Acura has officially announced that the new NSX will start from $156,000, putting it about $15k above the BMW i8, but coming in well under most supercars. For buyers looking for a fully optioned-up NSX, it will run upward of $205,700 with all of the option boxes checked.

Acura also revealed that there will be eight color options for the NSX, four interior color options, and three upholstery options. Other optional equipment will include three wheel designs, carbon-ceramic brakes, a carbon-fiber interior sport package, a carbon-fiber roof, and more.

Details surrounding the first of the 563-horsepower NSXs to roll off the line finally emerge, as well. Apparently, Acura will auction it via Barrett Jackson in January 2016 with all proceeds going to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground.

For all of you not interested in paying likely three times the car’s value at auction, the NSX’s configurator will go live on February 25, 2016, and buyers can place orders starting the same day. There is no information as to when deliveries of these pre-ordered NSXs would start, but I would expect to see them in the late-spring or early-summer of 2016.

We hope to have all of the details surrounding the NSX soon, so keep it locked here for the latest.
