Anyone who doubted that the Swedes could construct a bona fide supercar have had their doubts put to rest by the Agera R. The car looks like a spaceship, with plenty of wild body contours and a wrap-around windshield. Performance comes via a 5.0-liter twin turbocharged V-8 engine, which produces 1,115 horsepower and 885 pound-feet of torque. This power is put to good use with a 0 to 60 time of just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 260 mph. If owners sign a waiver, Koenigsegg will take off the electronic governor, allowing the car to hit 270 mph. The cost for all of this performance is $1.6 million.
