2018 Mazda3 Arrives With Additional Standard Features

The Mazda3 only recently got a complete redesign, so we definitely weren’t expecting anything dramatic from the 2018 model. But the Japanese automakerjust revealed the new Mazda3, and with it comes a slew of new features in each trim.

The base Mazda3 Sport will start from $18,095 in its sedan body and $19,345 in the hatchback body. It will come standard with Smart City Brake Support, a 7-inch infotainment screen with Commander control knob, Bluetooth audio and phone, a one-touch power driver’s side window, power mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, and more.

Moving into the Mazda3 Touring, it starts from $20,095 in the sedan and $20,840 in the hatchback. Its big addition for 2018 is the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which was once reserved for just the Touring hatchback and Grand Touring models. It also includes leatherette seating with heat up front, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, dual-zone auto climate control, dark-silver alloy wheels, and more.

The Grand Touring model, which starts from $23,145 in the sedan and $23,895 in the hatchback, continues to come with perforated black or parchment-colored leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, a full-color head-up unit, and LED fog lights. Newly standard are the previously optional self-leveling bi-LED headlights, LED taillights and LED daytime running lights.

Other than these tweaks to the 2018 Mazda3’s standard features, there are no changes in the works. Mazda expects to have the 3 in showrooms across the country by the end of August 2017.
