2018 Acura ILX Lineup Gets “Special”

The Acura ILX’s big brother, the TLX, received a nice refresh for 2018, but the ILX will go yet another year with its same looks. What has changed for the 2018 ILX, though, is a new Special Edition trim that borrows bits from the A-Spec model.

So, what’s borrowed from the A-Spec? These borrowed components include its 18-inch wheels, the side sills, and the rear spoiler. So, you’re getting the outward looks of the stylish ILX A-Spec at a lower price — of course, you miss out on the mild performance upgrades.

Other upgrades included with the ILX Special Edition include additional standard equipment like Jewel Eye LED headlights with auto on and off, an eight-way power driver’s seat, the multi-view rearview camera, a one-touch power moonroof, Bluetooth Hands-Free Link, a 5-inch Multi-View Display, keyless entry and ignition, a security system, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob.

The 2018 ILX Special Edition will ring in at $28,900, which is a full $3,200 less than the Premium A-Spec trim.

There is one other small change when the 2018 ILX rolls in, and that’s the availability of optional AcuraWatch across the entire lineup.

The 2018 ILX’s pricing will range from $28,100 for the base model to $35,100 for the Tech Plus A-Spec trim.

The 2018 ILX is arriving at dealerships now.
