Rolls Royce Previews its Upcoming SUV

When uber luxury brands, like Rolls Royce, get into the SUV realm, you know the segment is about as popular as it’s going to get. Last year, the British automaker announced its new Project Cullinan SUV concept but failed to give us any quality images. Today, the first images of the production mule for this SUV finally debut.

Just as expected, this SUV will clearly carry all the traditional styling cues Rolls is known for. These cues include a tall grille, thin LED headlights with openings under them, steep sides with only mild curves and creases, and a flat hood. This baby is all Rolls!

Rolls Royce didn’t give up too much info on this upcoming people hauler, but it did pass on a little info. Underneath this mule lies a new all-wheel-drive system for handling all the light off-roading this expensive SUV will see. What’s more, it’ll also ride atop a new all-aluminum architecture that’ll slowly make its way across the Rolls Royce lineup.

Sadly, this is all the information Rolls Royce was willing to release. But it did mention that it’ll test the Cullinan Artic Circle just after Christmas and the Middle East in 2017, giving it a taste of super-cold and super-hot weather. I am certain that with each of these tests, Rolls will release more details and images.
