The 2019 Ram Rebel 12 Takes Tech Off-Road

The Rebel model gave the Ram 1500 nameplate a legitimate off-roader that enthusiasts could drive to work Monday through Friday and hit the trails in over the weekend. But the Ram 1500 Rebel had nothing to offer those looking for added tech and features to make their commute more comfortable. The new 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 12 will solve this issue with additional features and high-end materials for the more discerning off-roader.

Like all 1500 Rebel models, Ram will base the 1500 Rebel 12 on the standard 1500 model. To make it off-road ready, Ram will add a factory lift kit, 33-inch off-road tires, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, tow hooks, and more.

Turning this rugged rig into the 1500 Rebel 12 involved careful feature addition to make it a premium pickup while adding nothing that could turn off-roaders away. This all starts with the Uconnect 4C infotainment system with a 12-inch configurable touchscreen and navigation. This infotainment system includes SiriusXM and connects to a Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio system with a 900-watt amplifier and a 10-inch subwoofer.

Buyers will also enjoy active noise cancellation, leather upholstery, heated seats, and Radar Red anodized-finish speaker grilles to spruce up the cabin.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 12 will hit showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2018 with a starting price of $46,990, plus a $1,695 destination fee.
