Honda Teases New Passport
As the end of November approaches, most people start thinking about turkeys or Black Friday. In the automotive world, the big news is the gathering in Los Angeles. There will be some good reveals there, including the all-new Honda Passport.
You can see the teaser video above, which confirms what we already suspected about the Passport: it will be made for actual off-roading.
Now, everyone’s definition of off-roading can be a little different, so we’ll see exactly what Honda does here. The Pilot certainly can handle fire roads and even some fairly washed-out pathways. From the recent hints, the Passport should be even more capable.
Perhaps the Honda Passport will be a direct competitor for the Toyota 4Runner? Since Nissan softened up the Pathfinder and ditched the Xterra, Toyota’s mighty off-roader that’s still comfortable doesn’t really have that much competition.
It’s possible Honda will even have a hardcore version of the Passport, like Toyota’s TRD Pro models. After all, Honda has considerable experience in off-road motorsports, so it certainly knows how to build something that can crawl over boulders or ford streams.
