For the fourth time in a row, the Honda Odyssey has been named by U.S. News & World Report as the “Best Minivan for Families.” The recognition is part of the publication’s annual “Best Cars for Families” list. The Odyssey was named as the top minivan thanks to a number of factors, including the praise that has been heaped on it by professional car reviewers and critics. The long list of innovative and exclusive features in the minivan also helped it top all other models, including the all-new HondaVac system that allows owners to quickly and conveniently clean the interior.
For the “Best Cars for Families” awards, U.S. News & World Report looked at 220 different vehicle models. To figure out where each vehicle should be ranked, the editors look at a variety of professional automotive reviews, reliability and safety ratings, the volume for cargo and seating in each vehicle, and the number of features that are family-friendly. The model that comes out with the highest composite score in its market segment claims the award.
“The Odyssey was designed to excel in one of the harshest environments on earth, daily family use. Being named ‘Best Minivan for Families,’ four years in a row speaks volumes about the Odyssey’s singular commitment to be the ultimate family vehicle.” said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of automobile operations for American Honda.
Honda can boast that the Odyssey remains the top minivan choice among individual buyers. The success of the model is in part from its class-leading fuel economy and safety ratings, as well as a long list of features.
