Fiat kicked off its 2014 Abarth Track Experience recently, creating a place where Fiat 500 Abarth owners can learn various driving skills that will help them during track runs or even day-to-day driving on the road. Owners do not need to take their car to the experience, but instead use one from a fleet of Abarths at the track. The experience entails four skill modules: driving dynamics, autocross, head-to-head challenge, and performance drive. At the end of the day-long experience, Abarth owners get to ride shotgun with a professional driver pushes the car to its performance limit on the track.

The first Fiat Abarth Track Experience was held at the famous Laguna Seca track in Salinas, California. Other cities where the experience will be held during 2014 include Ft. Worth, Texas; Fontana, California; Angleton, Texas; Daytona Beach, Florida; Millville, New Jersey; Joliet, Illinois; and Englishtown, New Jersey.

The best part of the Abarth Track Experience is that not only is it exclusively for Fiat 500 Abarth owners, it is also free to attend. Fiat says the fee that would have been charged to attend the experience was already built into the price of each Abarth model, giving owners even more incentive to attend an experience event.

“Abarth owners already know what a thrill it is to drive the Fiat 500 Abarth and Abarth Cabrio on a daily basis,” said Jason Stoicevich, Head of FIAT Brand North America. “And the Abarth Track Experience revs the fun to the red line, allowing owners to experience the limits of the car in a safe track environment. At the end of this experience, owners become true drivers by better understanding the dynamics of the ‘small but wicked’ Fiat 500 Abarth.”
