3. Mini Cooper S
There are few cars on the market today that are loaded with as much personality and personal swagger as the Mini Cooper. The car is unapologetically British in all of its quirky glory, providing oodles of motoring fun. That fun factor is multiplied by quite a bit with the Cooper S. The turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine pushes out a healthy 181 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. An overboost function for the turbo temporarily increases torque to 192 pound-feet of torque at full throttle, strongly encouraging drivers to mash the accelerator to the floor. All of that power is handled with grace by an optional sport-tuned suspension and limited-slip differential, giving the car the joyous feel of a high-powered go-kart.
