Porsche Manager Laughs At Tesla’s Ludicrous Mode

Everyone loves Tesla, right? Wrong. Porsche in particularly has shown its disdain for the puny American automaker, because Germans love to be tops in all things automotive. One of the executives spoke with Automobile Magazine and really let it all hang out when it came to Elon Musk and his company.

He dismissed Tesla’s Ludicrous Mode, which famously was able to spank a Hellcat, saying it’s nothing but a “façade.” The reasoning is it puts a serious drain on the battery. He claims that when the Mission E launches, it will be able to drive hard and keep going, because Porsche has some sort of magic juice.

We all know German engineering is kind of mythical, so maybe Porsche has some amazing tech stashed away in a secret room that It’s waiting to pull out for a big smackdown. After all, this is the same company that made the 959, a car that was way before its time.

Perhaps the Porsche Mission E really will be an amazing performance machine that can go 600 miles between recharges. That would be great, because real, true competition in electric cars will only make them better.
