The Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang Will be Available in 2018 With Minor Tweaks

When Ford launched the insane Shelby GT350 and GT350R Mustang in 2016, no one knew just how long this raging pony would be around for. Recently, the American automaker has confirmed the range-topping ‘Stang will be back for another year in 2018.

The only change the 2018 Shelby GT350 and GT350R will undergo in the new year is to its available color options, as it will gain three new colors: Orange Fury, Kona Blue, and the appropriately named Lead Foot Gray.

Otherwise, all will stay the same from its 15.5-inch two-piece rotors and Brembo six-piston calipers to its magnetic suspension and 5.2-liter flat-plane-crank V-8 with 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque at its disposal.

Also remaining a part of the 2018 Shelby Mustang lineup is the optional Electronics Package, which adds in some tech doodads, including Sync 3, voice-activate navigation and a nine-speaker audio system. The GT350 alone also has the optional Convenience Package, which swaps out the Recaro manual-adjust seats for six-way power heated and cooled sport seats with Miko suede inserts.

Pricing isn’t available yet, but with nothing changing I don’t expect to see a substantial change from the 2017 models range of $56,145-$63,645.

Keep it locked here for additional updates on the future of the Shelby Mustang lineup.
