Porsche Mission E Will Be Cheaper Than A Panamera

Porsche purists may not like it, but the upcoming Mission E represents the future of the beloved brand. That future is going to be relatively cheap, according to Drive, which claims the new all-electric performance sedan will undercut the Panamera on price.

Drive spoke with Porsche CEO Oliver Blume, and got him to finally admit the Mission E is the fabled smaller sedan in the brand lineup. Some people have been calling that mystery car the Pajun, or short for Panamera Junior.

During the interview, Blume said as the smaller sedan, the Mission E will slot below the Panamera when it comes to pricing. Interestingly enough, a direct competitor to the Mission E won’t really be the Tesla Model 3, since the Porsche is more expensive, but the Lucid Air.

Expect Porsche to pull out all the stops to make a huge splash with the Mission E. The company is pouring tons of resources into the car, and has a track record for technological innovation, so it has much riding on the Mission E.
