Pickup trucks historically haven’t been known for sipping gas, but in recent years manufacturers have made efforts to make them more fuel efficient. Still, Ford’s F-150 when loaded with the same big 6.2-liter V8 engine as found in the Raptor drinks the fuel down at an alarming rate. The EPA estimates fuel mileage at 12 mpg in the city and just 16 mpg on the highway. At least you can haul quite a bit in the payload or tow large items, but that can further decrease the truck’s fuel mileage.
