People in North America finally have their first chance to check out the BMW Vision Future Luxury concept car since the German automaker has announced the vehicle will be present at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d-Elegance. The model is breathtakingly beautiful on the inside and out, with a design that car fans and everyone else can truly appreciate.

The concept car is being used as inspiration for the future design of BMW models. Seeing it will give the public an idea of what to expect from the Bavarians in the coming years. The model uses advanced technology, including a new design for the user interface that makes use of three-dimensional displays. There is also an expanded head-up display that makes use of the entire windshield, highlighting road hazards, signs, and even buildings so that drivers have fewer excuses for driving poorly.

Another interesting aspect of the concept car is the interior design. Instead of a traditional construction, the interior components are made using a revolutionary layering technique. Different materials are used for the layers, with the base consisting of a fine carbon fabric that can be seen on the B-pillars, under the seats and on the doors. Other layers are made of materials like aluminum, user interface electronic components, leather and wood. BMW says that the technique gives the interior a unique look and feel, complete with a fluid design and tight seams between components. The layering technique also allowed BMW to integrate the seat frames into the car’s structure, plus make the B-pillars small and allow the doors to open wider than on production vehicles, making it easier to get into and out of the vehicle.

In time car enthusiasts will see which features in the Vision Future Luxury will find their way in production Bimmers.
